Described as “ A musician who plays classical music with extreme affinity”, Xintong Zang has performed throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States. Her broad repertoire includes 12 concertos and solo works ranging from Bach to Kapustin.

Xintong Zang also engages with living composers. In May 2011, she performed the   Piano Etude Suite “Transformation Etudes” by American composer Edward Smaldone in Beijing, receiving favorable reviews. In June 2013, she premiered “ Southern Book” as soloist in Beijing, is a composition for piano and orchestra by Chen Ren, with Tianjin Symphony orchestra.

Xintong Zang has attended and performed in numbers of high standard music festivals, such as Beijing International Piano Festival in Beijing, China; SIPO International Piano Festival and Master Classes in Obidos, Portugal; Summit Music Festival in New York, NY; Dino Ciani Piano Festival in Cortina, Italy; etc.

As a Pianist, Ms. Zang is also a chamber music player. She has performed with Violist Michael Klotz in 2010 and clarinetist Charles Neidich in 2011. Her chamber repertoire is ranging from Haydn to Shostakovich.

Started to study piano since age 3, Xintong has attended to The Middle School affiliated to China Conservatory of Music 2003-2009, studied with Prof. Xiaofeng Zhang and Prof. Fang Luo. Entered into China Conservatory of Music in 2009, studied with Prof. Fang Luo and Prof. Pei Sun, graduated with Bachelor of Art Degree in 2013. In May 2015, Xintong Zang received Master of Music degree from NYU Steinhardt, she studies in studio of Prof. Jeffrey Swann. She is also a member of The Adjunct Faculty of Piano in NYU.

Besides a pianist, Xintong is also a audio engineer. She has completed her own recording and producing sessions for both solo instruments and ensembles during the past few years, and she is currently a member of “Audio Engineering Society”.
